    What to Bring

    • Books to support personal growth and downtime relaxation
    • The best attitude you can muster up: ready to engage in the recovery process

    • A sense of humor: laughter can be an essential part of healing

    • Residents must submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
    • Attending at least 3 recovery meetings per week (AA, NA, or equivalent) is strongly encouraged.
    • Any relapse must be reported immediately; continued residency will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    • Residents are responsible for keeping their personal spaces clean and tidy at all times.
    • All common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, living room) must be cleaned after use.
    • Assigned chores rotate weekly and must be completed by the assigned deadline.
    • No smoking or vaping inside the home; designated outdoor areas only.

    • Disruptive behavior, aggression, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
    • House meetings are mandatory and scheduled weekly.
    • Residents are expected to support one another's recovery in a positive and constructive manner.
    Financial Responsibilities
    • Rent is due on the agreed date each week or month; late fees may apply.
    • Residents are responsible for their own personal expenses, medications, and transportation.
    • All financial obligations must remain current to maintain residency.
    Employment & Daily Purpose
    • Residents are expected to pursue employment, education, or volunteer work within 30 days of move-in.
    • Consistent idleness is discouraged; engaging in purposeful daily activities is key to recovery.

    Agreement Upon Admission

All residents are required to read, agree to, and sign the Shori Living Homes Resident Agreement upon move-in. Violations of house rules may result in a formal warning, loss of privileges, or in serious cases, termination of residency.

We're not here to be punitive — we're here to build a home where recovery thrives. These expectations protect everyone in our community.
